My first camera was a Kodak Brownie film camera back when I was in the fifth grade. My parents sent me to a week long outdoor education camp with that camera where I took quite a few photos of our camp in the Santa Cruz mountains.

It wasn't until my son was born that I really started getting interested in photography. I wanted to capture all those photos that most new moms want to capture.

Eventually I moved from a film camera to a digital camera, then eventually to my current Nikon D3100.

A few years ago, I was able to take a class and learn how to operate my camera in Manual Mode and learn how a little bit of editing in Lightroom can take a good photo to a print worthy photo!

I do not consider myself a professional, but I love capturing life unscripted!

Life unscripted to me is capturing those candid moments where expressions are genuine.
